First, our team at Visual Impression Signs sits down with you to understand the statement you want your sign to make, the size needed, the colors, and any specific goals.
Based on the information we received from you, our designers draw up first drafts and examples using computer-aided design software. These are the best way to see what the final product will look like. Let us know what adjustments or changes you would like to see, and we will generate additional markups until the design is perfect and approved by you.
Material Selection
Choosing materials is an important step. It can dictate the cost of the sign, how it will look, its durability, and other important factors. Of course, we will help you through this part by suggesting the best possible substrates for your needs.
- Acrylic: High in clarity and durable, it is great for outdoor signs. It also has a lot of versatility due to how easily it can be shaped into various logos, letters, and designs.
- Vinyl: For signs with more intricate details vinyl is a good choice. Vinyl overlays can be applied to other substrates, enhancing the sign’s visual appeal and providing additional color and design options.
- Aluminum: for metal signs aluminum is the best choice. Being durable and lightweight, alongside resisting rust and corrosion, it is perfect for indoor and outdoor use.
- Polycarbonate: Step up from basic acrylic polycarbonate provides more resistance to damage, making it a good choice for outdoor signs in high-traffic areas. It can withstand the winds of the next big hurricane and come out looking good.
- Composite Materials: Not all signs are made of one solid substrate. Often, we mix a few of them to create a more cost-effective and durable sign. For example, an aluminum composite material can offer the lightweight properties of aluminum with the added durability of a plastic core, providing an optimal balance for large outdoor signs.
Manufacturing
Once everything is finalized, we begin production on the sign. We use top-of-the-line equipment, including routers, lasers, and water jets, to cut out the sign pieces. Next, we
